Description We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in Glendale, California. Location: Local candidates to sit onsite 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday.Job Description: The Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting applications and services to support Motion Pictures Production. This role requires a deep understanding of current and future technologies associated with the Studio businesses they support, making the Sr. BA an expert to Studio Technology and business partners alike. The Sr. BA will identify current and future business needs and determine the best solutions to meet those needs.Primary Responsibilities:
Liaise business requirements from stakeholders to all necessary parties.
Act as the senior business analyst for the development and maintenance of in-house software applications.
Partner with Sr. Business Analysts/Product Teams for other Studio applications to identify data sources and required elements for new data connections.
Define, groom, and accept user stories in JIRA based on stakeholder requests for new and existing reports.
Perform administration duties including regular user access audits and maintenance projects for cloud instance infrastructure, managing vendor relationships.
Develop the product vision and product roadmap in close partnership with the Manager and business stakeholders.
Define and measure KPIs that support project business cases and recurring spend.
Communicate all successes, opportunities, and risks through formal communications.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Experience working at a studio or on a production, capable of keeping pace with productions and their technology needs.
Experience managing a diverse portfolio of applications, including 3rd party vendor apps, in-house apps, financial systems, workflow management software, reporting platforms, artificial intelligence, and experienced applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at all experience levels.
Strong project management skills, including resource and timeline management, risk assessment, and the ability to work with external contractors and consultants.
Must Haves:
5+ years of Product Ownership experience.
3+ years of experience using Agile SCRUM methodology.
3+ years of experience using MicroStrategy (MCE/cloud preferred) or other BI tools.
Strong problem-solving skills.
BA/BS degree required.
Excellent communication skills to present and gather requirements from executive business stakeholders.
Ability to work closely with the tech team and interact effectively with developers and studio personnel.
