Manage a portfolio of accounts receivable, including following up on past due balances and facilitating timely payments.
May need to contact vendors phone, email, and mail to resolve outstanding balances and address payment inquiries.
Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, development, and program management, to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate recording of contributions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements in the database.
Prepare and distribute regular reports on collection activities, aging receivables, and account status to management.
Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to collections and fundraising activities.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable position or Collections.
Degreed a plus, not required.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and diffuse challenging situations effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Excel (VLOOK-Ups and Pivot Tables)
