Job Title: Production Worker IJob DescriptionA manufacturing company for premium labels is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Worker Level 1. The ideal candidate will operate manufacturing equipment to produce rolls of material (labels) according to specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency in the production process.Responsibilities
Operate manufacturing equipment that produces rolls of material (labels) and place them in the desired unwind position as per specifications.
Continuously check for print and seam quality.
Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together per specifications.
Utilize a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during the splicing procedure and other necessary tasks.
Handle rolls and palletize them to prevent damage.
Record and enter data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to calculate label counts and conversions.
Competence in using units of American money and measurements of weight, volume, and distance.
Proficiency in using simple Windows-based applications.
Specific vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and understand job tickets.
Capability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities.
Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Printshop experience is helpful, but not required.
Ability to stand and move around the production area for long periods of time.
Physical ability to stand, use hands to feel and touch, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear.
Frequent walking, occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Assertive and solution-focused attitude.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
