Job Summary
This hybrid role combines hands-on CNC machining with CAD/CAM design and reverse engineering. As a CNC Machinist & CAD/CAM Programmer, you’ll program, set up, and operate CNC machines as well as design and reverse engineer parts using tools like Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and CAMWorks. You’ll be instrumental in bringing complex parts from concept to completion in a high-precision environment.

Key Responsibilities
Set up, program, and operate CNC milling and turning machines
Design and modify 3D part models and assemblies using CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks)
Generate CNC toolpaths and optimize machining strategies using CAM software (Fusion 360, CAMWorks)
Reverse engineer parts using measurement tools and personal knowledge
Interpret complex technical drawings, GD&T, and engineering documentation
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times
Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
Document work and maintain organized CAD/CAM libraries and machining records
Support R&D and prototyping efforts for new product development

Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certificate in machining, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in CNC machining and CAD/CAM programming
Proficiency in Fusion 360, CAMWorks, and SolidWorks (or similar CAD software)
Experience with reverse engineering, including manual measurement.
Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, feeds and speeds, and modern machining practices
Familiarity with multi-axis machining and toolpath optimization is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork orientation
