We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide preventive care, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Conduct thorough oral examinations to identify any signs of oral diseases or abnormalities
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies
Requirements:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in California
- Proficiency in Dentrix dental software systems
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient privacy
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
