Under the general direction of the Prison Industries Manager, the Prison Industries Superintendent II (Optical) is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the overall operation of the optical enterprise at Valley State Prison. Employees will have regular and substantial contact with persons incarcerated in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation institution and/or medical facilities.
This position may be extended up to 24 months and may become permanent at a later date.
Minimum Qualifications: Four years of production experience in the applicable industrial enterprise or trade, at least two years of which shall have been in a supervising capacity.
