Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age, or older.
Current Criminal Record Clearance or able to get clearance from Community Care Licensing (LiveScan)
Driver's License with clean DMV record
Will need prior to Employment:
CPR/1st Aid Certificate
Pre-employment physical
Have training and/or interest in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities
Plan and support clients in daily activities, which may include, but not limited to, household chores (preparing meals laundry, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning showers, tubs, dishes, taking out the garbage), recreational activities, learning activities, physical fitness activities, and money management.
Responsible for assisting clients with personal hygiene skills and tasks, including assisting with bathroom responsibilities, ensuring clients complete shaving, brushing teeth, bathing/showering, shampooing, and dressing appropriately for the weather and type of activities.
Safely transport clients to and from recreational activities, medical, and personal appointments
DSP 1/DSP 2 Certificate ( preferred, but not mandatory to start employment)
