Job Title: Civil Design EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in designing using AutoCAD Civil 3D software. You will be responsible for designing subsurface areas including residential developments, commercial site developments, street improvements, utility infrastructure designs, pump and tank designs, municipal utility master-planning, and cost estimating. You will partner with the project management team to create designs from conception to completion and modify redlined designs as needed.Responsibilities
Design subsurface areas using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
Develop residential and commercial site plans, street improvements, and utility infrastructure designs.
Create pump and tank designs as well as municipal utility master-planning.
Perform cost estimating for various projects.
Collaborate with project managers to bring designs from conception to completion.
Modify redlined designs based on project team feedback.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
Expert level schematic design skills.
Experience with civil design, grading plans, and utility planning.
Strong client interaction and communication skills.
Experience in residential, commercial, and municipal engineering projects.
At least 4-7 years of experience in a consulting engineering firm or design-build company.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
EIT or PE License is a plus but not required.
Experience with redlining and modifying designs.
Familiarity with land development and municipal design projects.
Work EnvironmentOur clients large office space is located in North Fresno, housing a team of 6 engineers, 2 project managers, and 3 interns. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. They pride themselves on maintaining a work-life balance, offering flexibility for early departures or time off as needed. Over time is not required but available for those interested. They host company events such as lunches, BBQs, and suites at Grizzlies games. The company has been offering end-of-year bonuses since 2008.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $44.73 - $57.92/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
