Description Apply today for an accounting role with a fast-growing Technology company in South San Francisco! As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable process. You will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in financial transactions.Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Receive and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate approvals. Code invoices with correct general ledger codes and enter them into the accounting system.

Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers in a timely manner. Ensure all payments are processed accurately and on schedule.

Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and other inquiries. Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors.

Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate reimbursement.

Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. Maintain accurate accounts payable records and reports.

Month-End Tasks: Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and supporting documentation for accounts payable.

Reporting: Assist in preparing accounts payable reports and analysis as needed. Provide data and support for audits and internal reviews.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations. Stay updated on changes in accounts payable processes and regulations.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function and collaborate with team members to implement changes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
