Summary About the Position: The purpose of position is to provide the Installation Senior Commander / FORSCOM Commanding General, HQs Ready and Resilient (R2) Director, and FORSCOM R2 Division Chiefs or as specified by the Commander, with quantifiable and objectively based data markers and information (by echelon) for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of R2 Operations and Enduring Personal Readiness (EPR) Campaign requirements within FORSCOM. Responsibilities Facilitate assigned programs as the Senior Commander’s Council as the Installation’s strategic platform which oversees the strategic implementation of various efforts such as Campaign and Community Health Promotion Council. Conduct meetings, working groups, briefings, and workshops in order to formulate appropriate and effective planning. Monitor data in order to advise the Senior Commander (SC) / Commanding General (CG) on installation health promotion and Ready and Resilient risk mitigation activities. Analyze Installation / Community / Environmental needs in order to assess risk factors. Demonstrate expert knowledge of conducting analysis of programs that include the promotion of concepts, principles, leading (possible best) practices, strategic planning, and coalition building. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing a health and wellness program in order to provide advice, coordination and integration for the health promotion and wellness program to senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications and Media Interpersonal Skills Manages and Organizes Information Organizational Awareness Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
