This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions. About the Position: This position is located US ARMY AVIATION AND MISSILE COMMAND, USATA, USA TMDE SPT REGION WEST, OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR, FORT IRWIN, CA. Responsibilities Receives a variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) for cyclic calibration and repair. Coordinates with supported units to ensure effective, efficient and timely accomplishment of maintenance and calibration of each item of equipment Monitor computer status listings to determine those jobs which are approaching or have been in the TMDE Support Center for an excessive period of time. Utilizes personal computer to produce, copy and edit a variety of standardized documents. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience to include (1) reviewing data and preparing reports AND/OR (2) coordinating and/or controlling equipment flow. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Applies Technology to Tasks Computer Literacy Customer Service Reasoning (Clerical/Technical) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
