Description We are offering an opportunity for a Senior Logistics Inventory Coordinator based in Encino, California. This role falls within the logistics industry and revolves around managing the flow of materials or products from suppliers to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective coordination of the entire order cycle. This is a contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the end-to-end logistics and inventory processes, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs while meeting customer demand.

Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to arrange shipments, negotiate freight rates, and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.

Utilize inventory management systems to track inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and generate accurate reports for analysis.

Lead inventory reconciliation efforts, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.

Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, sales, and operations teams to forecast demand, plan inventory replenishment, and mitigate supply chain risks.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and streamline logistics operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a logistics coordination role or similar position Proficiency in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites Strong customer service skills and experience Proven ability in logistics management Experience with NetSuite and Netsuite CRM software is preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
