Find your future with us.Boeing Satellite Systems at El Segundo Satellite Development Center in El Segundo, California is a world leading manufacturer of Commercial, Civil, and Government Satellite Systems. The program Supports design, analysis, development and documentation of thermal environment for multiple types of spacecraft, and structural, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems, subsystems, units, and components. We support the development, maintenance, or modification of system designs and proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users and customers. We perform detail design and analysis of thermal units, subsystems, and systems. We also perform thermal testing support and mission control support. Support the development, maintenance, or modification of system designs and proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users and customers.

Perform detail design and analysis development and modification of mechanical system , electrical system , and thermal system installations.

Assist in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.

Assist in establishing and documenting environmental engineering and thermal engineering and system level design requirements (e.g., performance, environment, functionality, life, envelope, integration).

Assist in performing and documenting analyses of environmental and thermal components and systems using models and tools to validate or assess the design.

Support the development of ideas and concepts for future environmental and thermal control.

Support launch and On-Orbit Spacecraft Mission and Spacecraft Thermal Vacuum Testing.

In order to meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in El Segundo, CA.This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. top secret clearance Post Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Experience leading a team of engineers.

Experience in structural or thermal analysis.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) :

Hands on experience working in development labs or with cross discipline engineering teams.

Experience with Thermal Desktop thermal modeling tools.

Typical Education & Experience :Lead (level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Lead (level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
