Payroll Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the retail industry, based in El Segundo, California. You will play a crucial role in managing garnishments, direct deposit forms, and termination checks for employees. This role requires the ability to maintain confidentiality, analyze payroll-related queries, and interact with the Human Resources department when necessary. Responsibilities: Manage garnishments and direct deposit forms for employees Create and manage termination checks for departing employees Uphold the confidentiality of payroll-related records in line with our Cyber Security policies Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries via phone or email Exhibit excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy Collaborate with the Human Resources department as required Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for various tasks Apply knowledge of common payroll and general accounting practices Experience with "in-house" payroll operations is a plus Leverage various accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Dayforce, About Time for various accounting functions Execute auditing and benefit functions when necessary.Requirements Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Proficient in using Ceridian and Dayforce Knowledge of About Time software Ability to perform Accounting Functions Familiarity with Auditing procedures Knowledge of Benefit Functions.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
