The division comprises all aspects, from architectures to implementation; our engineers work directly with corporate customers to ensure robust and resilient communications.The Network Systems Department delivers in all aspects of systems, from architectures, requirements, and design through implementation, our engineers work directly with corporate customers to ensure robust and resilient network systems. What You'll Be Doing- Provide technical leadership and management oversight to the Network Architecture and Implementation Section staff.
- Develop and implement cutting-edge space/ground Network Systems Architecture and Design.
- Lead in various systems engineering tasks and projects including design implementation of network architectures.
- Participate in various network modernization efforts and consult with the customer on these efforts.
- Provide program office customer outreaching, interfacing, and acquiring new business activities, proposing, and staffing new and on-going projects and resolving resource contentions and task prioritization.
- Recruiting, hiring, and retaining experienced members of the engineering staff. Performance evaluation and development of staff members.
- MUST HAVE an active DOD Secret Security Clearance , which is issued by the U.S. government, for any candidate consideration.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 8-years of experience in progressively more responsible roles with hands-on lab operations.
- Experience in network architecture design, analysis, and modeling & simulation.
- Strong understanding of network layers, protocols, and routing algorithms.
- Familiar with the latest networking/computing trends and technologies.
- Proficiency in experimenting with new networking architecture concepts and technology offerings.
- Exceptional verbal and written English language skills, strong communication skills, and ability to interact well in group meeting/working environments.
- Advanced degree from an accredited program in engineering or science.
- Understanding of communications and IT infrastructure; integration of operations and logistics across DoD entities.
- Subject matter expertise in developing new network architectures and network studies.
- Management or technical leadership, project development and management experience.
- Experience with military and commercial satellite communication systems and network engineering, inter-satellite cross-links and laser optical communication technologies.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
