Description We are looking for a proficient Senior Project Accountant to join our clients team in EL MONTE, California. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks in our Service industry company. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accounting records, assisting with month-end closing, preparing financial reports, and supporting other accountants in their tasks.Responsibilities: Assist with the maintenance of all accounting records and subsidiary ledgers in accordance with regulatory standards. Support month-end closing procedures and contribute to the preparation of financial reports. Analyze costs, prepare invoices, monitor collections and maintain memorandum accounts related to third party agreements. Assist with gathering data and responding to data requests. Support the preparation of year-end schedules for independent certified public accountants’ audit. Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger. Prepare general ledger account analyses and reconciliations. Conduct analytical studies as requested. Maintain accounting records and subsidiary ledgers of deposits and costs related to Construction Work in Progress, Advances for Construction and Contributions in Aid of Construction. Assist and train other Accountants to assure completion of all tasks and appropriate distribution of workload.Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role Proficiency in performing month-end close activities and journal entries Demonstrable experience with General Ledger management Capability to prepare financial statements accurately and within deadlines Experience in performing bank reconciliations with precision Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks Must be detail-oriented and organized Experience with accounting software and systems is a plus Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
