Broadridge is growing! We are currently seeking a

Production

Technician to join our Production Technical Support Team in El Dorado Hills, CA. In this role, you will lead and provide direction and mechanical support to the production line and finishing technicians as required. You will monitor all work ensuring that a constant workflow is maintained. You will also maintain/monitor operating software on Insertion/Finishing equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Night Shift (Early Week):
    6 PM – 6 AM every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays
  • Provides mechanical and electrical support to the production line and supports production operations with all equipment related and machine setup issues.
  • Monitoring training and certification of machine operators on material and detection set-up on the Insertion/Finishing equipment as required.
  • Researching current versions and models of vendor software.
  • Maintaining a parts inventory for machines by providing management with a comprehensive inventory.
  • Cross-training Senior Technicians on operating software uses and instruction for job set-ups and mode modification.
  • Following all departmental procedures as directed including all departmental guidelines and keeping accurate records of all work performed.

Qualifications:

  • A proven proficiency in the operation, repair and maintenance of insertion/finishing equipment, electric and electric circuit experience is necessary.
  • Full understanding and working knowledge of equipment software and operating systems. Experience in mode building and implementation. Full functional abilities around transferring of software, upgrading software and modifying software utilized in our production operations equipment.
  • Ability to stand and work, to lift, carry and move 25+ lbs throughout duration of assigned shift.
  • Desire to promote a professional work environment and adhere to all Broadridge's policies.
  • Excellent ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, prioritize, and work under deadline pressures.
  • Proven customer service skills and thorough attention to details.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize, multitask, manage multiple priorities at a time and recognize the importance of deadlines.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment with various personality types to get the work done. Ability to relate well and show respect and consideration for others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and management at multiple levels.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree and Technical/Trade School
  • 8 -10 years' experience within a high volume production environment with resultant knowledge of insertion/finishing equipment
  • Experience/understanding in spare parts/repair parts control, parts ordering, budget and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Project planning experience.
