Architectural metal company in San Diego, CA is seeking a Design Engineer to add to their team.Description:Designing panel systems, exterior on a building, metal panel/façade, metal railing systems and other artwork/metal workUtilize AutoCAD, Solidworks and Fusion 360 for Sheet Metal DesignSkills:Autocad, Sheet Metal, Solidworks, fusion360, CNC, BSME, product designAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of design experience with Sheet Metal
Review drawings and understand basic scope prior to starting any detailing
Request all required contract documents (CAD files, contract with detailed scope of work, schedule etc.) from Project Manager
Prepare first draft of shop drawings based on the details provided in the contract drawings, and present to the Project Team for comments
Confirm budgeted hours, and track to meet or beat the budgeted hours.
Experience with CNC Machining is preferred
BSME (preferred), but open to non degreed engineers in lieu of experience
