Description: Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft avionics systems to ensure airworthiness. Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft avionics systems, such as comm/nav, attack avionics, electronic warfare, flight instruments, sniper targeting pod system, and flight control systems. Determines feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components and assist with Periodic Inspections. Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits. Will provide technical guidance and OJT to customer techniciansBasic Qualifications:- Avionics experience required.- Candidate must have experience with Fighter Aircraft maintenance activities and possess working knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems/components on the fighter aircraft at the organizational level of maintenance.- Verifiable Flight Line experience is desired along with documented experience in the fighter aircraft maintenance operational environment.Desired Skills:- Aircraft Mechanic / Aircraft craftsman A&P Lic.- Understanding of flight test aircraft and modifications- A strong understanding of the maintenance process- Ability to produce documented qualification records in related maintenance fields if requestedSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
