We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our Team Members.Financial Analyst II - SG&AThe Financial Analyst II - SG&A is responsible for all SG&A accounting functions with a strong emphasis on cost allocations. This position interfaces daily with leaders in the corporate office and finance to support continuous improvement and develop business strategy. This position will ensure that accounting controls are maintained and that the financial objectives are understood by the teams in the corporate office. This position acts as an internal auditor to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Essential Functions
Review weekly and monthly departmental spend to ensure financial data accuracy, integrity and consistency of information while also identifying potential operating issues for further investigation/consideration with departmental leadership
Proactively work with department leaders to ensure thorough understanding of monthly spend and appropriate allocation of costs to various business units within the business.
Prepare and coordinate monthly variance analysis of actuals, plan and forecast.
Maintain various management reporting models to assist with identifying gaps and opportunities as business changes and the impacts on cost changes within the corporate environment.
Support the corporate leadership teams with regular financial reporting and metrics, as well as ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
Identify trends and recommend actions based on accurate and thorough analysis.
Liaise across multiple departments to resolve any issues that impact safety, quality, productivity or cost.
Understand root cause for variances and recommend actions to minimize such variances.
Continuously assess expenses and proactively assist leaders to develop plans to identify cost reductions/containments in order to improve organizational performance.
Monitor direct and indirect spend to ensure it is consistent with current company strategy.
Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) reviews focusing on (i) validating assumptions for identified cost-savings opportunities (ii) monitoring implementation progress of agreed-upon actions and (iii) tracking impact of such actions through respective plant operating statements
Support internal and external audits
Develop rules to apply to burden
Assist with month end close
Assist with the review of internal control reports and procedures
Monitor, analyze and audit various other financial data as requested
Assist in annual budget process including budget modeling and actual vs forecast budget analysis
Collaboration
Develops relationships cross functionally with key stakeholders – Manufacturing, Finance and Accounting, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, HR
Willingness to travel when required (estimated less than 10%)
Works with leadership to develop team goals and KPIs to be shared with others
Communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; coaches and counsel’s employees; develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and KPIs.
