Fitness Coordinator

Job Description

• Educate patients about useful and safe exercises and assist them in achieving exercise goals.
• Assure that patients leave fitness time feeling refreshed and in a positive state of mind.
• Store and care for all equipment neatly and appropriately, as directed.
• Educates patients on safe exercise techniques and guidelines.
• Instruct session to the ability of the patient participating.
• Work with patients to achieve exercise goals.
• Maintain a professional attitude toward responsibilities, fellow staff members, and patients.
• Project a professional and healthy image through dress, behavior and attitude

This is a part-time position that will work Sat and Sun.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2 years’ experience in a medical fitness setting
• Experience with chemical dependency, eating disorders, trauma and pain preferred
• Knowledge of safe exercise technique and principles
• Ability and patience to deal with a diversity of patients
• Ability to effectively demonstrate all skills being taught to patients
• Able to carry out daily duties such as lifting weights, bending, squatting, reaching, walking hopping, jumping and kicking
