Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible intern for a full-time 8-week summer internship. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of our talented professionals.As an Industrial Controls/Automation intern, you’ll be working with cutting-edge technologies and gaining hands-on experience in optimizing complex industrial systems. We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in control systems, automation, and programming—skills that will help support our team's goals of improving efficiency and productivity. You’ll have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, assist in troubleshooting, and learn from experienced professionals in the field. This is a fantastic chance to develop your expertise in a growing and essential area of industrial technology while contributing to impactful projects.This position will be based onsite at Wonderful Citrus located in Delano, CA. This schedule for this internship is 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Days of the week and work hours may change due to business needs.Here’s what you’ll do: Contribute to the value that industrial automation provides to the manufacturing processWork closely with the Controls & Automation team on projects/tasksGain experience and insight into:Controls Technician responsibilitiesProject program structure, activities, and tracking toolsNetwork standardsPLC infrastructure and support field devicesHigher-level supervisory/visualization platformControls development projectsIdentify, develop, and support continuous improvement opportunitiesUpdate and develop departmental SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)Assist with WOW projects and identifying quick winsProvide general administrative support to the automation team
