Overview:The function of the Sales Support Representative is to ensure our customers receive their orders complete and on time. This will be accomplished through accurate inventories, timely data entry and coordination with team members. Will process orders for merchandise received by mail, telephone, fax, E-mail, or electronically.Here’s what you’ll do: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Responsible for accurate order entry including prices and quantitiesUnderstand at a basic level, the sizing, grades, shipping/packing locations and pack stylesAwareness of product availability to effectively support the sales teamCommunicate regularly through email and verbal communication with Account Executives/managers to stay up to date on any changes and or availabilitiesCommunicate with the internal transportation and or outside transportation companies to set up appointment times, follow up on no shows, and address cancelled orders to all parties involvedAssist other SSR’s with their coverage and be a potential back-up when members of the team are out of the officeAssist Sales in cleaning up any account payables follow-upsFacilitate all commodity rejection(s) reporting and accounting follow-upAddresses customer complaints and questions in a timely mannerAdjusts orders received for price and nomenclatureEnters data into sales internal database, to determine total cost for customerFollows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified datesComputes price, discounts, account representation, and shipping charges as required.Prepares invoices and shipping documents such as export papers, commercial invoices.Checks shipping orders to ensure they are accurate with regards to quantity shipped, this is done by comparing shipping documents with computer-generated reports.Specifies if special labeling is required for shipment and in some instances supplies to the shipping department.Confers with production, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.Makes sure that quotes are processed through the quoting process in a timely mannerMaintains documentation of contract pricing and ensures accuracy of entryMaintains customer name and address database
