Join us in Orange County, California and live in one of the nation's top vacation destinations with year-round sunshine, picturesque beaches, premiere attractions and a lively dining and arts scene.The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-DiamondWaldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for as Assistant   Food & Beverage Manager  to join the Food & Beverage Team at Pool and Club 19 !Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Pointadjacent toLaguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle. The resort is perched on175 acresatop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms,115,000 square feetof indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets.This includes4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, andin-room dining.In this role, you will be overseeing Pool and Club 19.At least 2 years of supervisory / management experience is required. Experience in luxury hotels and strong beverage knowledge is a plus.+

Full-Time

- Shift: Various – must have availability to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays.

- Pay Rate:  The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.Want to learn more?  Hotel Website (https://www.waldorfastoriamonarchbeach.com/), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/waldorfmonarchbeach), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/wamonarchbeach/)As an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager , you will direct and organize the activities of the pool side restaurant and the Recreation department to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.

Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation. Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.

Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.

Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.

Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

Monitor quality of service by observing or asking customers about needs; resolve customer complaints about service, food quality, etc. by assessing problem and taking immediate action.

Plan and direct all functions of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.

Manages and motivates all recreation personnel to include supervision, training, communicating objectives for the day, scheduling and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction.
