- 7+ years of professional work experience as a Software Development Engineer
- 2+ years leading/managing an engineering team through complex technical projects
- Expert programming skills in at least one of the following: Python, Java
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines - Proven record of supporting continuous improvement efforts with various deployments
- Experience with distributed version control systems a must (Git preferred)
- Strong, proven understanding of distributed systems integration, including design principles as well as hands on experience with various integration methods (web services, publish/subscribe, etc.)
- Basic Unix admin skills
- Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
- Able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Curious and proactive. Loves to learn and explore.
- Self-starter with innovation, integrity, strong work ethic and attention to detail Eager to stay on top of the latest technologies and innovate
- Has a strong desire to develop for data integrity, scalability, high availability and easy maintainability
- Able to clearly explain technical issues, justify technical decisions, and write technical specification documents
- Comfortable brainstorming/debating ideas openly and challenging respectfully/ being challenged
- Excellent trouble-shooting and debugging skills
- Previous experience working with Virtual Assistants is a plus
