The Amazon Music Merch team is responsible for building a destination of official music merchandise and connecting fans and artists through merch.Our team is looking for a driven, strategic, customer-centric business leader with experience owning a high-growth business operation and supplier relationships to help grow our Music Merch business. Music and fashion have been intertwined for decades, and this role will create buzzworthy artist merch collections that authentically connect artists and fans on Amazon. This role will be responsible for business development, partner management, negotiations, line planning/curation, forecasting, and launching collections in partnership with marketing, vendor management, and creative teams.This role will drive the ideation around and execution of product development and production process – from initial design concept through bulk production. This role will build partnerships and strategies to maximize margin, quality, lead-time and brand goals. The successful candidate will have deep experience in traditional apparel production and must be a creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative production strategies. The candidate should also feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working in an entrepreneurial environment.The Sr. Manager, Sourcing & Production will report within the Amazon Music Merch team and will work closely with brand managers, vendor managers, vendor managers, cross-Amazon partners within Softlines and Music Industry and external vendor partners to shape the production strategy for Amazon Music merchandise. The candidate must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all levels of our partners’ organizations.Key job responsibilities

Create and execute product development and production strategies for supply chain.

Build supply chain infrastructure for the brand, including the development process guidelines and seasonal calendar.

Responsible for assessing vendors and developing production strategies to scale our business and create strong partnerships.

Own and build production and vendor relationships, continuously improving capabilities, margins, quality, lead times.

Drive production strategies for domestic and international production partners, including small runs, quick turn and replenishment options.

Evaluate partners’ production standards and practices.

Manage relationships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Experience with end to end product delivery

Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Experience as a product manager or owner

Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
