Restructuring and Value Creation Services Senior Manager - Technology, Media & Telecommunications The US M&A and Restructuring (M&A/R) Offering Portfolio advises our client's as they seek to change the nature of their business and competitive position in the market through inorganic means (acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, and joint ventures). By providing M&A and restructuring services from beginning to end, we bring a large scope of capabilities to the market and opportunity for our practice and firm.Recruiting for this role ends on 5/5/2025.Work you'll do As a Senior Manager, you will lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large companies. Senior Managers are expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways. You will be responsible for engagement management:

Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk.

Senior Managers manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors:

Participate in Business Development, develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients, organize and lead pursuit teams, participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process, contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.

Senior Managers must contribute to Practice Development & Eminence:

Develop practical solutions and methodologies, develop "thoughtware" and "point- of-view" documents, participate in public speaking events, get published in industry periodicals.

As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for people development:

Perform the role of counselor and coach, provide input and guidance into the staffing process, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.

Qualifications

A candidate must have 8 years of M&A or M&A service delivery experience advising, implementing and delivering transformative solutions during and after an M&A transaction or during a restructuring, in the following areas:

Setting, leading, and delivering engagement objectives by defining the scope, plan, and budget.

Developing work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope.

Managing cross-functional teams to deliver M&A engagements across all of phases of the M&A lifecycle including due-diligence, pre-close, and post-merger integration.

Mobilizing and managing multiple engagement teams / workstreams.

Providing TMT industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modelling tools to produce analysis and algorithms that enables pre-deal and post-deal integration, divestiture, and major restructuring/cost transformation activities to achieve/exceed deal value, synergy targets, or strategic cost takeout objectives.

Management of day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors; develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients.

Leading and delivering aspects of the proposal development process; contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies.

Experience in integration, divestiture, and/or joint venture standup execution.

Bachelor's degree and 8+ years consulting and/or industry experience; alternatively an MBA with 6+ years relevant work experience is acceptable.

Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred

Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint) and executive presence.

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

Apply practical experience with communications, culture, and change management.

Experience with staff development and eagerness to mentor junior practitioners.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.

An advanced degree is preferred.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $203,400 to $339,000.You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
