The SVP, Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the credit union’s marketing and public relations plan. Researches marketing needs and analyzes marketing trends for the credit union. Plans and directs marketing of organization's products and services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support the sales and revenue objectives of the credit union.
Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
Develop and manage marketing operating budget.
Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
Evaluate and recommend distribution channel development programs.
Determine agencies and suppliers of record, and negotiate contract terms and conditions for marketing services.
Serve as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns.
Oversee the development and production of promotional and collateral materials.
Evaluate and recommend positioning of the credit union’s brand and implement approved brand/image.
Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
Ensure effective control of marketing results and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives fall within designated budgets.
Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
Establish and maintain relationships with affiliated hospitals/healthcare facilities and healthcare associations and key community and strategic partners.
Resolve conflicts and facilitate changes in structure of marketing group to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to marketing problems and opportunities.
Conduct marketing surveys on current and new product concepts and provides feedback for future product development.
Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and present to executive management.
Key contributor to product and services development.
Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
Direct the credit union’s efforts in healthcare related SEGs.
Directs and attends local, state, and national healthcare related associational conferences as appropriate.
Maintain an awareness of all laws and regulations plus developments and trends within the financial services and credit union industries that may affect marketing and advertising.
Ensure regulatory compliance as it relates to the development of products/services and delivery mechanisms.
Oversee the implementation and management of the social media strategy.
Responsible for the design and placement of content on the credit union’s external website.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in financial services marketing and planning.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning, and promotions/advertising.
The pay range for this position is listed above. Our pay ranges are designed to allow for candidates with various levels of experience and skill to be considered, and to allow room for growth to be achieved in a role over time. Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates.
