As Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. A great deal of time in this position will be spent producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. You'll also be involved in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes.Key responsibilities
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation
Accruals experience
Deep understanding of journal entries
Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger
Adeptness in month end closings
Command of bank reconciliations
Experience with Prepaids
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Great attention to detail
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Ability to meet deadlines
Experience with ERP systems
