Performs preventive maintenance on facility, machinery, and equipment, including lathes, mills, drills, grinders, saws, dust collectors, blast booths, and pneumatic equipment, and other related duties as assigned.
Assists A and B level Maintenance Mechanics and Welders, as needed;
Operated forklift, scissor lift, and bobcat loader, as needed;
Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and
Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations;
QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:Experience/Training/Education:Considerable experience, training, and/or education in the repair and maintenance of industrial machinery and facility; basic knowledge of working with electricity.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Considerable knowledge of the methods and techniques used in repairing and maintaining production machinery;
Ability to clean, lubricate, and protect production equipment;
Considerable knowledge of tools and materials necessary for repair and maintenance of industrial machinery;
Ability to operate hand and power tools;
Ability to safely operate a forklift, scissor lift and bobcat loader;
Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures;
Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures;
Ability to understand and follow work instructions; and
Ability to read and interpret maintenance and repair specifications.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, move, and carry tools and materials weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted;
Lifting, moving, or carrying tools and materials weighing over 25 pounds requires assistance by a co-worker or lifting equipment;
Ability to stretch, bend, and reach work areas; and
Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as defined;
Reasonable accommodations provided upon request.
Special Requirements:
Company certification in the operation of a forklift;
Safety shoes required; and
Soft-sole shoes required if/when working on roof.
