Description A Mental Health Facility in Pomona is in need of a Medical Front Office Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality and compassionate care and support to the facility's patients. Your work environment will be a Mental Health Facility, therefore it's important that you feel comfortable in such an environment, carrying out compassionate duties daily.Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the front desk including patient check-in/check-out, patient scheduling, insurance verification, and collecting co-pays.

Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish, providing language support to both patients and healthcare providers, ensuring effective communication and patient satisfaction.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information professionally, aligning with the facility's rules and regulations.

Coordinating with different departments to ensure smooth running of operations and patient transitions.

Providing thoughtful, compassionate, and comprehensive customer service to all patients, staff, and visitors.

Gathering accurate information from patients for their healthcare records.

Proactively troubleshooting and solving patient issues or concerns.

Responding to phone inquiries and handling administrative duties such as faxing and photocopying.

Proactively participating in staff meetings, contributing to the improvement of patient care and service.

Maintaining knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations regarding patient care and services in a mental health facility.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Spanish.

Proven experience as a Medical Front Office Specialist, Healthcare Administrative Assistant, or similar role.

Familiarity with medical and insurance regulations.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Ability to perform under stress and maintain professionalism.

Comfortable working in a mental health facility setting.

Computer literacy and proficiency in healthcare management systems.
