Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the doctor to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental/surgical procedures, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for patients. Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, applying topical anesthetics, and passing instruments - Provide chairside assistance during surgical procedures, anticipating the needs of the doctor and ensuring patient comfort - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to established protocols - Maintain accurate medical documentation and coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations - Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and updating medical history - Follow aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection - Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies Skills: - Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software - Strong knowledge of dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and patient record management - Familiarity with medical documentation and coding practices - Ability to assist with patient assessments, including taking vital signs and updating medical history - Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.
