Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Chico or Sacramento, California. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be instrumental in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will work closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.Responsibilities Maintaining and organizing financial records for audit purposes. Assisting in the preparation and filing of tax returns and regulatory filings. Processing invoices, verifying transaction details, and facilitating timely payments. Managing accounts receivable, which includes generating invoices and tracking payments. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best accounting practices. Assisting with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information. Preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger. Reconciling general ledger accounts and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Check Runs Ability to perform Coding Invoices Strong Data Entry skills Experience in Invoice Processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with Oracle Knowledge of QuickBooks Familiarity with SAP Ability to make Journal Entries Experience in Journal Entry Preparation Proficiency in Posting Journal Entries Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
