Looking for an experienced, positive leader to run a classroom of 15-18 children between the ages of 2-5 with 2 other team members.
Position starts August 6th. Interviewing between June-July to find the right fit!
Director/Teacher position 40 hrs a week.
Must be Director qualified under Community care licensing guidelines.
Must be able to Pass -TB test, physical and FBI/DOJ background check.
Starting pay DOE with some paid holidays/vacation/sick leave/Retirement account.

Director Job Description
The child care center director shall be responsible for the operation of the center, for compliance with regulations, and for communications with the Department; and has the authority to acknowledge receipt of deficiency notices and to correct deficiencies that constitute immediate threats to children's health and safety.
Must have verification of TB test, cleared fingerprints, criminal background, and a medical physical before starting employment.
Qualifications:
The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as a director of staff, young children, and able to run a licensed childcare facility. This person must be mature and able to handle challenging situations during busy moments. Must demonstrate a high degree of responsibility. This person must be detail oriented and manage their time effectively. Must be able to problem solve and work as a team- essential to have good communication with others. Be able to talk with other adults in a respectful and mature manner. Be able to prioritize different tasks, as needed. Work with other directors to maintain cohesiveness between the programs. Must be able to take proactive measures to teach, protect and care for the children as well as train other staff to do the same. Must be willing to implement and take pride in the program philosophy.
Experience:
-An associate of arts degree from an accredited or approved college or university with a major or emphasis in early childhood education or child development; and at least two years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program.
(A) Three semester or equivalent quarter units shall be in administration or staff relations.
-Complete 15 hours of health and safety training
-Use of Google docs
- Experience working with other adults
-Excellent communication skills
-CPR/First Aide certified
Responsibilities:
Will include, but not limited to the following:
-Following and maintaining all licensing requirements
-Follow and maintain the code-of-conduct and the philosophy of the program
-Communication with owner, teachers, parents, and staff
-Enrolling of new children, which includes files, tours, meeting with prospective families, returning phone calls and emails, etc.
-Working with families to meet their needs of scheduling and expectations of the classroom
-Supervising staff to ensure daily tasks are completed
-Working with children on floor part-time
-Monthly billing and parent newsletters
-Attending/Holding meetings for staff or with other directors via zoom.
-Addressing any needs or concerns of parents
-Ensuring the building is taken care of and maintained/needs are addressed
-Staff evaluations
-and much more throughout the day to day needs of running a child care facility
