Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer 5Job DescriptionSeeking a seasoned Principal Electrical Systems Engineer (Level 5) to support the development and fielding of mission-critical embedded spacecraft systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems engineering, strong technical leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex systems. The Principal Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading and driving the technical direction of our systems engineering efforts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.Job Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for systems engineering.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to systems engineers and cross-functional teams.

Make critical design decisions and resolve technical disputes.

System Architecture and Design:

Lead the development and maintenance of complex system architectures, designs, and models.

Define system-level requirements and translate them into detailed design and development tasks.

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system integration and compatibility.

System Analysis and Trade Studies:

Lead system-level analysis, including functional, performance, and safety analysis.

Conduct complex trade studies to evaluate different design options and make recommendations.

Utilize advanced modeling and simulation tools to predict system behavior and performance.

System Integration, Testing, and Deployment:

Lead system-level integration, testing, and deployment activities.

Develop and implement strategies to ensure system performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Provide technical support and troubleshoot complex system issues.

Process Improvement and Standardization:

Drive continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and standards.

Develop and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies.

Contribute to the development of systems engineering policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Management and Communication:

Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.

Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and technical meetings.

Team Development and Mentoring:

Foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Mentor and develop systems engineers, helping them grow in their careers.

Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and training programs.

Strategic Planning and Decision Making:

Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues.

Make data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation and project prioritization.

MUST HAVE Qualifications:

Electrical Engineering background with hands on Circuit Design experience

Experience architecting and designing systems

Experience integrating, testing, and deploying systems

Experience with mil-spec programs and DO requirements

Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent resident.

Work Schedule:

On-site

9/80 Schedule: Every other Friday off, resulting in 26 3-day weekends per year
