Chiquita Canyon Landfill , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Scale House Attendant / Office Clerk to join our team in Castaic, CA !The starting pay will be $20/hour. The pay range for this job category is $20-24/hour.Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and direct all customers upon entry to the correct location
Weighing trucks in and out of facility
Answer incoming phone calls from customers and vendors.
Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.
Effectively communicate with team members
Performs full clerical and general office duties.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Review all manifests and paperwork as needed.
Ensuring that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Providing general upkeep of the Scale House.
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail
Strong customer service skills
Good computer skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Prior cash handling experience required with the ability to balance a cash drawer daily
Reliability and punctuality is a must.
Ability to work independently
