Our staff is well-trained and highly skilled qualities that are vital to maintaining excellence in care and service.ResponsibilitiesThe Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) II is responsible for knowing his/her professional scope of orientation period that includes demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance. The LVN II will maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment, and perform patient care services that support the physician / provider's practice under the clinical supervision of the Physician, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physicians Assistant, or other licensed staff.This involves prepping patients for examinations and assisting with specific procedures including (but not limited to):

Flex and Rigid Cystoscopies

Bladder scanning

CMG

Post void residuals

Beacon Implants

Use of Bovie/cauterization

Thermodilator Prostate Ultrasound with Biopsy

Sympubic Cath Placement

Vasectomies

Bladder installations

Medication/treatment placement

The LVN II will also perform Catheterization and all Urodynamic procedures under the indirect supervision of the Physician. It is the responsibility of the LVN II to relay instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person and document patient concerns and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record for the physician's review. The LVN II is also responsible for administrating medications specifically directed by the physician and performing accurate vital sign measurements and documentation. The LVN II will provide leadership to support staff.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Satisfactory completion of a formal Licensed Vocational Nurse program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program (Determination made by Dignity Health Medical Foundation H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division) of Allied Health Professions.)

Current and valid CA LVN license

Current and valid BLS from the American Heart Association (cannot be from another provider)

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills

Knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding procedures and reference tools, and pharmacology appropriate to the Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice

Preferred Qualifications:- 1 year experience in an outpatient setting as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.

Familiarity with an electronic practice management system is preferred
