OverviewDignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 370-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael California serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south Placer County for more than 50 years. Mercy San Juan Medical Center has received recognition for being a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Center of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery along with Certificates of Excellence in Perinatal Care Hip and Knee Replacement.ResponsibilitiesThis position requires at least 2 years experience working in a cardiac rehabilitation department or related field and a Bachelor's degree with training in exercise physiology physical education or related field. Experience required for this position includes the following knowledge skills and abilities: Knowledge of: advanced cardiac life support/emergency procedures; cardiovascular disease musculoskeletal problems and cardiac arrhythmias; pertinent health care rules and regulations; related hospital policies and procedures; use of unit facilities and equipment and interpretation of data results. Skills: excellent communication skills; current standards of exercise principles; techniques and interpretation of telemetric monitoring. Bachelors Degree

Two (2) years experience working in a cardiac rehabilitation department or related field

Exercise physiology, physical education or related field.

Knowledge of advanced cardiac life support/emergency procedures

Cardiovascular disease musculoskeletal problems and cardiac arrhythmias

Pertinent health care rules and regulations, related hospital policies and procedures

Use of unit facilities and equipment and interpretation of data results

Excellent communication skills

Current standards of exercise principles

Techniques and interpretation of telemetric monitoring

Ability to offer education related to the cardiac disease process medications and lifestyle health habits. Integrate appropriate referral and counseling into routine care of patients
