Mercy San Juan Medical Center has received recognition for being a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Center of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery along with Certificates of Excellence in Perinatal Care Hip- and Knee- Replacement.ResponsibilitiesBreak Relief Registered Nurse Cardiac TelemetryOur Cardiac Telemetry unit is a 30 bed unit with all private rooms. The unit is designed to promote a quiet calm atmosphere and a healing environment. The unit features include ceiling lifts pneumatic tube system and all new equipment. RNs Nursing Assistants Unit Assistants and Monitor Techs care for a cardiac population with arrhythmias pre/post cardiac intervention (with sheath removals) and pre/ post op Cardiac Surgical patients.The incumbent provides coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. QualificationsThis is a break relief position intended to break the nurses for lunches and breaks during the hours of 2100-0330.Minimum:
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
One (1) year of experience as an RN within an acute care hospital required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Other certifications may be required
Preferred:
Current Arrhythmia certification preferred
