Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Carmel Valley, California. This role involves managing the daily operations of general ledger and production accounting activities for our operations, providing payroll support, handling general ledger month-end closing processes, account reconciliations, and reporting while training a new Senior Accountant. The successful candidate will also handle bulk wine and case goods costing, product inventory and balance sheets, fixed asset/CIP reporting, AP and AR, and cash management. Responsibilities: Manage financial data and ensure data integrity and accuracy. Prepare and reconcile asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries for financial statement generation. Conduct reconciliation of bank accounts. Manage the fixed asset process and policy. Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents. Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. Manage the Sales and Use Tax accounting and reporting process. Conduct monthly closings, journal entries, account reconciliations, year-end closing, and preparation of audit work papers at year end. Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for advanced proficiency tasks. Handle month-end close activities efficiently. Requirements Proficient in managing all accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting Experience in using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for managing financial processes is preferred Extensive experience in conducting month-end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage the accounting team Proven ability to develop and implement accounting procedures and controls Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
