Operations Intern will:

Project: Manufacturing Documentation and Flow Improvements:

Work with subject matter experts to review technical manufacturing documentation and determine opportunities for improvement

Perform data analysis and assist with creating and validating Excel-based manufacturing batch records for biological processes

Learning opportunities include introductory project management skills, quality procedures, manufacturing processes and basic validation/documentation

Essential Functions:

Operate a safe work environment through continuous safety awareness and full compliance to all EH&S programs and activities.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), utilize basic laboratory techniques, perform calculations, measure materials, operate laboratory equipment and keep records necessary to manufacture products in an ISO9001:2015 certified lab-based environment.

Maintain product inventories.

May participate in Practical Process Improvement activities.

Work with manufacturing data systems and may perform analytics.

May collaborate with Quality Assurance on corrective/preventive actions.

Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvements.

Specific tasks will be tailored to the intern’s experience level and abilities.

Qualifications:

Student currently enrolled in classes leading to an accredited bachelor’s degree in a related engineering, science or life science field.

Preferred majors: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related

Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in manufacturing/operations.

Strong leadership and team building skills.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team.

Ability to learn, be mentored, and improve.

Apply today!Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $23.75–$26.50.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
