Description Our client, a thriving real estate firm in North County, is seeking a diligent Staff Accountant. The successful candidate will bring their meticulous attention to detail to the role, handling day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring financial statements are prepared timely and accurately.Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute the general ledger period closing process.
Handle payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
Prepare and enter journal entries.
Support implementation of best practices to optimize efficiency.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in property, real estate or construction accounting preferred.
Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of accounting theory.
High attention to detail balanced with a view towards the big picture.
