Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist with instrument handoffs.
Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of surgical equipment.
Collaborate with the perioperative team to maintain a safe and clean surgical environment.
Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced surgical techs.
Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members.
Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and infection control measures.
Participate in on-call and weekend rotations as required.

A minimum of two (2) years recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist in all surgical specialties.
Demonstrates advanced skills appropriate to the role of the Surgical Technologist.
Demonstrates proficiency in ability to scrub ophthalmology procedures and total joint procedures OR proficiency in ability to scrub Cardiac procedures.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist
American Heart Associate CPR required
