Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Office Manager in Camarillo, California. The role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising office staff and aiding in the implementation of strategic goals. The Office Manager will also ensure compliance with state laws and regulations that impact operations, attend committee meetings, and assist in hiring and managing employees.Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations of the office to ensure smooth work flow Oversee office staff for efficient utilization of resources Collaborate with the executive team to implement and measure strategic goals Stay updated with state laws and regulations that impact office operations Assist in maintaining compliance with national and state affiliate constitutional obligations Attend district and college meetings as directed Participate in the hiring and management of employees Develop key performance goals with the executive team Interpret performance reports and provide feedback Work in conjunction with the Treasurer to manage budgets, financial reports, and expenditures Coordinate and assist in organizing activities and campaigns Maintain membership database and assist in membership recruitment Act as a resource for the negotiations team, conducting research related to labor contracts when necessary Help coordinate union events and onboard new faculty members Assist in political activities including COPE membership campaigns Communicate regularly with the Executive Council and provide monthly reports Oversee the publication of online publications, including the development of articles, writing, editing, art direction, design, and production Maintain and organize databases and files Coordinate the print and material needs of the office Support as needed and perform other union-related duties as assignedSkills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook Administrative management and data entry skills Ability to schedule meetings and coordinate events Negotiation skills University Degree is preferred. Requirements The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in an Office Manager role or similar. Possession of a University Degree is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, is essential. The candidate should have experience in Administrative Management. Familiarity with MS Office is required. The ability to produce and manage Department Reports is necessary. The candidate should be capable of scheduling and coordinating meetings. The candidate must have negotiation skills. Experience in Coordinating Events is desirable. The candidate must be proficient in data entry tasks.
