Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern.The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:PRIMARY FUNCTIONThe Manufacturing Engineering/Continuous Improvement Intern will perform at a junior engineer level and be capable of supporting various ongoing manufacturing and continuous improvement projects, with an emphasis on tooling design and documentation.The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will also be responsible for assisting in multiple cost out projects, I4.0 (Industry 4.0) deployment, and root cause corrective action investigationsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Utilize the Eaton Lean Six Sigma system to improve the facilities overall performance, deploying Continuous Improvement principles and processes.

Support and learn about various manufacturing processes and assist/lead root cause investigations.

Assist in documenting tooling and manufacturing processes, and in modification of Standard work

Assist Senior Manufacturing Engineers on daily duties, including cost out projects.

Assist in the development of EHS processes and procedures

Conduct layered process audits, to include 5S and Standard Work audits throughout the facility

Assist in training employees on various LEAN tools

Work on projects or other duties as assigned to support the Camarillo site

Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

Must be enrolled in an accredited, full-time degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline.

Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles to be considered.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Computer Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Minitab or statistical software)
