Laundry workers are responsible for proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment, maintaining records of laundry operations in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.Essential Functions:
Operate laundry equipment. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Perform tests on wash formulas.
Provide the receipt, storage, repair and issue of detainee necessities, and implement inventory control procedures.
Maintain related records and preparation for related reports.
Direct the work of detainees assigned to assist in the laundry.
Requires long periods of walking and standing and the pushing and pulling of laundry carts and lifting of laundry bags full of laundry which could weigh up to 30 lbs.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, and one (1) year of experience in institutional laundry operations, including experience in the following areas: quantity purchasing, receiving, inventory and shipping of supplies required.
US Citizenship required.
Must be 21 years of age.
Valid drivers license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
