Description We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry, located in Calabasas, California. This role involves managing and executing various accounting responsibilities, with a focus on accruals and use of Oracle and Excel. This opportunity offers a short-term contract employment.Responsibilities: Support with the preparation and execution of the month-end close process. Utilize Oracle for various accounting tasks and data management. Handle and manage accruals and monthly accruals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Leverage Microsoft Excel to create and maintain financial reports and perform data analysis. Monitor and manage financial data and report any discrepancies or issues. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Collaborate with other team members to achieve business outcomes. Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Proven experience in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle Familiarity with Month-End Close procedures Experience with Accruals and Monthly Accruals Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure Willingness to continue professional development and learning Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
