Description A company in Burbank is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper with tax experience to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, with a focus on tax preparation and compliance. You will work closely with senior accountants and tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is 4/days per week, Monday - Friday onsite in Burbank. Each day is 8 hours per day.Responsibilities:Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in accordance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.Organize, maintain, and analyze client financial records.Assist with bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable and receivable.Prepare and reconcile bank statements, Credit Cards and Loan PayablePayroll Journal Entries and knowledge between the employee share and the employer share. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary tax information and address questions.Meet all tax filing deadlines in a timely and accurate manner.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.2+ years of experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department.Proven experience with tax return preparation for various tax entities.Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations (federal and state).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Excel.Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Solid understanding of Tax Preparation
Full charge bookkeeping experience required
Proficiency in Bookkeeping Functions
Skilled with ERP systems
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
