Job OverviewThe Learning & Talent Solutions COE Career Development team is responsible for the development and management of various global programs focused on employee skill development, including Disney Aspire and the salaried education reimbursement program. The Career Development team is setting and implementing strategy for employees to reach their potential within The Walt Disney Company.The Director, Career Experiences will provide oversight and strategic direction over the data and operations of the Career Development team, including metrics and impact analysis. The Director will also oversee career programs and advising, including mentoring, career engagement, content development, and large-scale events. This individual will champion be a key partner across all Career work and will provide leadership to the overall culture of career work through support of events, engagement opportunities, and talent sourcing and pipelining efforts.Responsibilities

Set strategy for data governance work streams to ensure integrity and quality of large data sets that inform business decisions and optimize operations, influencing 3rd party vendors and internal analytics partners to manage timelines and deliverables.

Provide strategic direction for data management, metrics reporting, and KPI development and tracking.

Set strategy and oversee development, launch, and execution of career centers and events, as well as internal mentoring program.

Oversee reporting and tax/payroll operations associated with Disney Aspire and Education Programs.

Support clear partnership model with Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and Employee & Leadership Development to design and implement programs that support an internal marketplace for talent (gig assignments, internal assignments, rotations, etc.)

Develop strategic plan for career development curricula, webinars, tools, and resources (e.g., resume development, career assessment, interviewing skills, networking, personal brand, career conversations).

Maintain strong attention to detail and manage project plans/timelines, collaborating with key partners for strategic alignment across all career work.

Lead a team of professionals, providing strategic guidance for project work; develop and mentor direct reports and extended Career Development team members.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years’ experience in Operations, Marketing, Advertising, HR, or related field.

5+ years’ demonstrated experience leading other leaders.

Knowledgeable and experienced in using quantitative and qualitative methods to measure impact (e.g., observations, assessments, surveys, interviews, and focus groups); skilled at communicating pre- and post-outcomes clearly and adjusting solutions to increase desired outcomes.

Ability to demonstrate care and compassion and clarify priorities and expectations with team members; ability to develop self and others to support and inspire individual and business success.

Proven experience with metrics/impact reporting, event planning, and delivery methodologies and best practices.

Proven ability to use a consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders.

Ability to work within a fast-paced, hybrid, evolving work environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, integrated team environment with multiple priorities while managing through ambiguity.

Ability to have both creative sensibilities and strong management/organizational skills.

Experience in strategy development or execution.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years’ executive level experience

MS in related field

Required EducationBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree preferred.SegmentThe Walt Disney Company (Corporate)The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $197,700.00 to $241,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
