Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Buena Park, California. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Conduct account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded. Conduct regular ledger procedures and prepare monthly closing processes. Utilize Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for data entry and management. Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy in financial statements. Assist in the development and maintenance of Excel-based financial models. Manage and maintain financial record systems in accordance with appropriate protocols. Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures. Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as Sr. Accountant Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas is required Experience in Month End Close process is necessary Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with accounting software and databases is a plus Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong time management and organizational skills.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
